Specialist Skills: Over 30 years in the civil engineering industry covering a broad spectrum including, structures, tunnelling, roads, pipelines, utilities, earthworks and industrial with particular experience within the water sector (infrastructure and non-infrastructure) one-off schemes and frameworks.

Worked on a diverse array of Civil Engineering Projects and Frameworks; including the Conwy Tunnel, tunnelling, pipeline and infrastructure Contracts for  the Water PLC’s and Scottish Water.

Experience of; NEC Contracts, ICE, FIDIC, IChemE and CECA/FCEC, and the main methods of measurement including CESMM and Highway Works.

Employment History: Since 2009 I have worked as a consultant on various diverse projects such as the Welsh Water Framework (Contract: ECC Option C), Network Rail (Contract: ICE & MF2000), United Utilities (Contract: CD 100/NEC 3) and Industrial Works Contractor Packages (Bespoke Contracts/Subcontracts).

2006 – 2009 Commercial and Financial Director and involved in the successful Management buy-out of Mowlem Energy and Mowlem Utility Services.

2001 – 2006 Mowlem/Johnston - employed as Commercial and Estimating Manager, responsible for Mowlem Water and Mowlem Johnston. Bidding and working on Water PLC’s AMP Framework programmes, (Severn Trent, Northumberland, United Utilities, Welsh Water and Scottish Water). In 2005 transferred to Commercial and Estimating Manager of Mowlem Civil Engineering – (Northwest England and Wales, including national responsibility for Airports and Wind Farms) until Mowlem was taken over by Carillion in 2006.

1998 – 2001 Ennis Construction working on diverse projects such as tunnelling contracts within the Kelvin Valley for Scottish Water, the Commonwealth Stadium in Manchester and various Management work package Contracts (Lend- Lease, Amec and Mc Alpine).

1993 – 1998 Johnston Construction working mainly within the water sector of the Civil Engineering Industry, predominately United Utilities (Northwest Water & Bechtel) and Welsh Water. Johnston Construction was bought by Mowlem PLC in 1998).
